Colorism: Skin Color, Image and Reality
For my Senior Degree Project at the University of the Arts, I explored the existence of how Colorism is a global issue. Skin color–based perceptions and related assumptions affect how we interact with others and view ourselves. Specifically, shows the importance of what matters in life which is seeing past skin color, see the person standing in front of you and that everyone experiences different realities within their own identity. “Pigment” magazine proves that your story is a combination of your self image, the color of your skin, and reality. The front cover of magazine is my sister and I photographed by me. Click here to view the whole magazine.

BRAND IDENTITY

Cradles to Crayons
The objective with this brand redesign is to create a sensible and cohesive visual identity for Cradles to Crayons but not to be a public use. Through online research, the following objectives and criteria were created to measure the new brand identity. I created a new brand identity for Cradles to Crayons non-profit organization which brand voice is centered around the values and essentials to make life better for children in need. Cradles to Crayons provides children from birth through age 12, living in homeless or low-income situations, with the essential items they need to thrive – at home, at school and at play. Their brand voice aims to eliminate the effects of child poverty by supplying these items free of charge–engaging and connecting communities. Click here to view the whole brand identity.
